✔Position: Area Sales Manager

✔Purpose of the Role:

The Area Sales Manager plays a crucial role in achieving primary and secondary sales targets in the assigned territory, focusing on General Trade. The ideal candidate will excel in identifying and developing key clients, driving business excellence, and accomplishing set targets.

✔Job Responsibilities:

✅Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned area.
✅Develop monthly sales plans and forecasts, considering product shelf life.
✅Effectively manage channels to maximize sales opportunities.
✅Implement cost management strategies for resource optimization.
✅Prepare month-wise business forecasts and benchmark against previous years.
✅Analyze data and align with the Annual Operating Plan.
✅Monitor competition closely and devise proactive plans to counter new entrants.
✅Allocate manpower in different areas based on individual capabilities.
✅Mentor, motivate, and guide team members to achieve sales and business goals, meeting monthly budgeted figures and activity ratios.
✅Train subordinates to develop essential skills, including product knowledge, selling techniques, lead prospecting, and closing skills.

✔Desired Skills & Experience -Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and experience:

✅Any graduate with a preferred Master’s degree in Sales/Marketing.
✅Strong experience (8 -12 years) in a large Indian or multinational organization, preferably in the FMCG industry, with a focus on Rural Channel and General Trade.
✅Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
✅Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills.
✅Proficient in team handling and leading by example.
✅Ability to communicate effectively and fluently in multiple languages.
